Hi all! I recently stumbled across a list of books from the Christian Science Monitor advertised as “smart books for the beach.” I have not even heard of any of them — so, I would love to hear any comments or recommendations! By the way, I am trying out a few new functions from Amazon — so, try to hover over a title or image and see what you think!

I read ‘A Summer Of Hummingbirds’ last winter. Though I did finish it eventually, I found it read more like a (beautifully written) informative piece of history rather than a novel. I found myself reading it in chunks; putting it down and reading it in between reading other books. It’s worth a stab.
