Recently a friend recommended a site that I would love to share!  For those of you who enjoy travelling or who enjoy my weekly 50 States 50 Books series, you may enjoy Bibliotravel – a site that hooks up readers and places.  You simply put the name of a city in the search box and then a list of books connected to that place appears.

It works a bit like Wikipedia, in that members can add books that they think encompass the spirit of a particular place.  I haven’t started recommending yet, but plan to do so soon…

So, check it out and let me know what you think!  Thanks, Monica!

Oh, I like this idea! I always add the setting/place as a “tag” when listing my books. I like to read books that show the “spirit” of a place before I travel.

This is great! Thanks for the link! I already have thought of one to add to North Carolina, the state I am from.
