BTT: Holiday Reading
By Kristen on Jul 3, 2008 in Future Classics...?
It’s a holiday weekend here in the U.S., so let’s keep today’s question simple–What are you reading? Anything special? Any particularly juicy summer reading?
Well, I just finished The Brothers Karamazov this morning — hallelujah! So, I am now free to finish Hearts of Horses by Molly Gloss (really good so far — look for a review soon…), and The Knitting Circle by Ann Hood.
Happily, my mom and grandma are visiting, too, so I probably won’t get to my reading until later in the weekend. But I’ll be sure to review whatever I finish!
What about you? What are you hoping to read this nice, long weekend?

I have a good one going.

What are you reading, Sally?

The Hearts of Horses has me hooked just from looking at the cover. I’ll definitely be adding that to my wishlist.
I’m reading a really cool memoir right now by Bill Seaton about his years as PR director of the San Diego Zoo. It’s called My Years in Captivity and is full of entertaining stories about the people and animals he came into contact with while he was there.

Thank you, Ruth! That memoir sounds right up my alley
And The Hearts of Horses is continuing to fulfill its initial promise — this might actually be one book you CAN judge by its cover! Thank you for the recommendation!
