Have a few minutes to find out a bit about yourself? Last week I stumbled upon two fun quizzes: First, I found Which Shakespeare Play Are You? on the Tiny Little Reading Room blog. Then I found the Book Quiz on the Po(sey) Sessions blog. Both are fun and quick. I’ve included my results below — feel free to leave your results in the comments below!
First, the Shakespeare result… I scored 38% tragic, 50% comic, 38% romantic, and 38% historic:
You are the “Problem Plays!” The Problem Plays are a group of Shakespeare’s plays that cannot be readily identified as either Tragedies or Comedies because they have an equal amount of both. The Problem Plays often present the protagonist with a situation that must be overcome, but after a toilsome journey, the hero almost always comes out on top! Often called “tragicomedies,” the Problem Plays contain elements of dark psychological drama, light-hearted comedy, and a bit of romance. This means you are most likely a well-rounded individual with a perfect balance Tragedy, Romance, and Comedy in your life. While you may experience some hard times along the way, odds are you will fight through them and come out on top!
I agree with this review, by the way (but who wouldn’t want to be described as “well-rounded” 🙂 )
Next, the Book Quiz result:
by Hermann Hesse
You simply don’t know what to believe, but you’re willing to try
anything once. Western values, Eastern values, hedonism and minimalism, you’ve spent some time in every camp. But you still don’t have any idea what camp you belong in. This makes you an individualist of the highest order, but also really lonely.
It’s time to chill out under a tree. And realize that at least you believe in
While I love Siddhartha and hope I am a true individual, I am not lonely in the least and rarely have been (thanks to books!!). Not sure what to do with the ferries reference, but since the Book Quiz only has 6 questions, the result is pretty impressive…
