Future Book Club Favorites (?)

Hi all! Last week I started my series on book club themes with the Most-Discussable Books for Book Clubs (Popular For a Reason) list. This week I have tried to predict what books will find their way to the “All-time Favorite Book Club Books” list soon… Please leave me a comment if I have forgotten any!

Future Book Club Favorites (?)

Most-Discussable Book Club Books

As fall quickly approaches, I realize that one of my summer goals has not yet been met — book club theme lists. Last June, a number of you responded to my request for possible themes that might interest book clubs (thank you again!). My intention was to work on these lists all summer, but I’m afraid this did not come to fruition.

So, I have now decided to post one theme list each Monday throughout the next few months. I would LOVE suggestions for any titles not included in my posted list. I will then update these lists and place them permanently on my home page.

My first list is the broadest and might not even be considered a “theme,” but includes the most often requested category: Most-Discussable! I debated whether or not to only include those titles that might not be obvious, but what might be obvious to me might be under the radar for another reader. So, I left the category open — and soon had over 50 titles! Eek! So, I have broken down this category into sub-categories… 1. Popular for a Reason 2. Worth Another Look 3. Unexpected Gems

So, here is my first list of titles sure to spark discussion: Popular for a Reason. These titles will not only spark discussion, but will mostly likely be enjoyable to most readers, too. I consider this list only a starting point… Please chime in and drop me a comment about which popular titles I should include!
