One great benefit of having a week off from creating kits is having a little time to explore other lit blogs!  Sometime soon I will write a post on what I’ve found and what I think my readers might enjoy, but here is one neat little thing I stumbled across — a weekly meme called “Booking Through Thursday.”

Each Thursday, a conversation-starter is thrown out into the blogosphere and fellow lit-bloggers respond.  Here is this week’s topic:

 How about a chance to play editor-in-chief? Fill in the blanks:

My first thought was Eggers’ A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius.  I would have cut a bunch of his ramblings on starting up his ‘zine Might.  His little brother Topher was much more interesting. 

One more contribution — I have to veer from literature for a moment and include American Gangster, too — edit, edit, edit!!  Great acting, compelling story, but it dragged on and on…
