Did you love The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society?  Who didn’t, right?!  Well, Real Simple magazine recently tackled this much-beloved work in their No-Obligation Book Club

Here’s a link to the questions they posed to one of the authors.  Their next selection is Julia Child’s My Life in France, which I’ve been meaning to read for months — this may move it up on my TBR list!

Here is a link to the “rules” of this No-Obligation Book Club  from the website:

  1. Every month, a Real Simple editor chooses four great books.
  2. You get to vote on which should be read for that month.
  3. During the month, the editor will read along with you, posting her/his own insights about the book and guiding the discussion.
  4. You can chime in with your own comments or just follow along…no obligation. Nice, isn’t it? (FYI — you can subscribe in a Reader!!)
  5. Every month a different book will be featured―but you can always go back and comment on older discussions or previous books.

They’ve already tackled a few of my favorites with The Help, Racing in the Rain, and The Time-Traveler’s Wife

Sounds fun, doesn’t it?!

How serendipitous! I just finished reading this for my own book club. Thank you for the links. I’ll enjoy the interview.

Oh – this is great! I will go check out the site right away. I have already read (and LOVED) The Help and The Art of Racing in the Rain, and I have wanted to read My Life in France for quite some time. Your post was perfect timing for me.
