Recently, the Millions blog played around with a new feature Google is developing called “Google Squared” which involved presenting search results in a list-format.
Here is what the results were for the Millions initial search for ”best books” and “best novels”:
- The Catcher in the Rye
- Catch-22
- Animal Farm
- The Very Hungry Caterpillar
- Goodnight Moon
- Curious George
- Gravity’s Rainbow
- Gravity’s Rainbow
- To Kill a Mockingbird
- The Sound and the Fury
- One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
- The Lord of the Rings
- To The Lighthouse
- A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man
What do you think? How does the list seem to be determined? By number of searches generated? By articles published? How did Google do, in your opinion?
