Awesome news. And for the first time and online only publication Politifact.com wins for Nat’l reporting. Another incredible story that won for feature reporting was Girl in the Window:

Thank you, Karen! I was so focused on fiction, I really neglected the rest of the awards…

Yahoo! You know I expected _A Mercy_ to make the finals but when it didn’t I was absolutely THRILLED to see this win. It’s a book that totally surpassed all my expectations (which probably means I’m building it up too much for you…). Can’t wait to hear what you think.
I know! I was convinced A Mercy would win, too… I just bought it and can’t wait to get started!
Hi Kristen, I saw your thread about book bloggers on the problogger forum. I have a media blog in which I write about books, movies, music, tv…. anything that I’m digging into at the moment.
There are a lot of book bloggers out there, but so far my experience is that there are a few that are very heavily trafficked who just don’t respond to comments because they are so big. Anyways, great site!
Oh, one more question – what’s your experience so far with Buzz, delicious, digg, and stumble? What do you like?
I was underwhelmed by Olive Kitteridge. I thought the writing was good, but I could never like Olive. I thought she was just a bitter nasty woman. I’ve read reviews that say she changes through the book, but I don’t see that. She has some experiences that ought to change her, but she doesn’t really allow them to. She might see some of her faults, but she continues on committing the same errors.
Hi Kacie! Thanks for stopping by! I have just delved into the world of social media, so I’m not sure what I think about digg, delicious, stumble, etc… I just activated this plug in on my blog this past weekend! I have played around with stumble a bit and enjoyed it — we’ll see!
Hi Karina! I can’t wait to start Olive and see if I agree with you… I’ll be sure to let you know!
