Hello Fellow Readers!  I thought a “housekeeping” post might be order on this lovely last day of June…

First, tomorrow will be the first day of the Short Story Book Club, newly named “Tiny Tales!”  If you are just now stumbling upon this, simply read Say Yes  sometime in the month of July and join in the discussion!  I will post a couple of starter questions tomorrow – and the discussion will occur in the comment section of tomorrow’s post.  The discussion will continue all throughout the month of July, so no rush!  Once the discussion seems to have run its course, I will introduce the next story!

Next, I sent out my second edition of Book Bites today — my new newsletter.  I would love feedback on what you found most interesting and what was not.  So far I have been sending a list of new releases for the next two months, release dates for books into movies, a list of my current reviews, a spotlight kit, and and a suggested “If you like this, try this” feature.  I’m wondering if the release dates are really what people are most curious about.  I’m considering changing this feature to highlight those titles that are “hot” — what people are talking about now — and what I think readers will be talking about soon…  Any input?  Also, if you do not receive the newsletter, and would like to, simply go to the “Book Bites — Sign Up Today!” form on the bottom right of my blog.  (It’s free!)

Moving on…, starting tomorrow I will be participating in “Blogging Idol” — courtesy of Daily Blog Tips.  I originally agreed to participate because my soon-to-be-released new blog for teachers seemed like a perfect fit.  However, the demands of learning how to teach online nudged the release date of my new blog into next weekend, so I decided to participate anyway (with this blog).  So, if it seems as if I am shamelessly trying to get new readers, now you know my motivation!  Actually, I will be focusing more on SEO strategies — like refining my use of key words and whatnot.  And I really do mean what NOT since I have very little knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
