BTT: What is a Reader?
By Kristen on Jun 26, 2008 in Booking Through...
What, in your opinion, is the definition of a “reader.” A person who indiscriminately reads everything in sight? A person who reads BOOKS? A person who reads, period, no matter what it is? … Or, more specific? Like the specific person who’s reading something you wrote?
I almost forgot it was Thursday today! I think my definition of a “reader” would be someone who chooses to read for pleasure — whether that pleasure comes from informative nonfiction or challenging literature or escapist page-turners.
I’m sorry my response is so short! My hubby and I are off to dinner and a movie… I’ll add more if I have time later, but I would love to hear what MY “readers” think, too!!

I basically agree with that. Some readers would go a bit further. Frankly, I can’t imagine not reading. I do get pleasure from reading, but that’s not really why I read.
It’s closer to I read therefore I am for me.
