TGIF everyone!  Today I am fulfilling a request I received on my recent survey — to highlight up and coming fiction (and non-fiction) and release dates.  I’ve found a couple of great sites that I want to share, and then in the future I will continue to include updates from these sites in my Saturday Round-ups.

First, what’s coming out this week, next month and this summer…

  • From the Washington Post:

With publishers bracing to release an unprecedented number of books on politics this season, we wondered whether there would be room for anything else. It turns out that we can look forward to a welcome diversity. Here is a sampling of what’s in store.— Marie Arana – The Washington Post

  •  From the Seattle Times:

On a more literary note, V.S. Naipaul and Paul Theroux are publishing new, hopefully mostly true, books, as is bittersweet funnyman David Sedaris… In the annals of new and notable fiction from local authors, look for books from David Guterson, Michael Gruber and Garth Stein. Fans of Elizabeth George, now a part-time Whidbey Island resident, get to find out what that grieving but still so very attractive Inspector Lynley is up to. And Jhumpa Lahiri, Annie Proulx and Salman Rushdie are publishing new fiction… Light or dark, there’s something for everyone in the bookstores this spring.

Introducing a wonderful new site:  Novels Now, the newest book reviews in the blogosphere!

And another great site new to me — The Reader’s Advisory:

And, since it still feels like March here in Minnesota:

By the way, if you enjoyed The Memory Keeper’s Daughter, Lifetime is showing a movie version this Saturday night at 9 p.m. EST.  Book Club Girl has a nice post about it…
